Mount Baker’s houses sit on a ridge above Lake Washington, and many are larger and older than the Wolf ranges later fitted into them. A convection fan that rattles or stops
Two fans are easy to confuse. In a Wolf electric oven, dual fuel included, the cooling fan runs while the oven works and long after it is off; that is a safety measure, and it cannot be switched off. The convection fan sits behind the back of the cavity and runs with the door closed.
On a gas range, Wolf also advises leaving convection off until preheat is finished, because turning it on early can make the oven shut down. A convection fan that grinds, knocks or stays still when it should spin needs its motor and bearings checked.
